Fans reunion at Kanteerava.

The fans returned to their mighty fortress after 2 long seasons and they were fully ready to back the blues from the stands. The ambience of the stadium was electrifying with presence of WWB.

Bengaluru who were crowned as Durand Champions few weeks ago were returning to their fortress after 2 disappointing seasons, this time they had a good squad depth and a new English manager. On the other hand, Northeast did full revamp of squad.
As expected, Bengaluru started the game with good tempo and Northeast were not looking good, but things improved as the game progressed. Bengaluru missed a lot of chances in the first half of the game and Northeast did pretty good defending. Though Bengaluru dominated scoreline was 0-0 at the end of first half.

Bengaluru started pretty good in second half but were denied multiple times by the Northeast defense. Again, instead of dominating Bengaluru missed pretty good chances. In the 87th minute of the game Alan headed the ball into the net in the corner taken by Javi Hernandez. In the 93rd min J.Gaztanaga put the ball into the net but soon it was disallowed for the infringement in the box by the referee and red card was shown to Northeast head coach Marco Balbul and the scored stayed 1-0 in favor of Bengaluru. Eventually a header scored by Alan costa won 3 points for Bengaluru.
